We’re always looking for people to join us in helping improve Te Wairoa River. Whether you’re wanting advice on making your property more river-friendly or have spare time you’d like to contribute, please get in touch.
We regularly provide tips on native planting on our Facebook page, as well as running a series of workshops on restorative planting and other topics local people are interested in. Our native plant nursery behind Clevedon Co-op, at 33 Clevedon-Papakura Road, is a great local resource. It's currently in a winter hibernation, while we undertake mahi needed to provide you and the local environment with a great service. We look forward to reopening to volunteer sessions soon.
Pest Control Co-ordinator Lenny van Heugton is keen to hear from you about your pest control issues and how she can help with advice, information or supplies. Email her at pestcontrol@tewairoa.org.nz
We offer free educational sessions for local schools where students learn about the environment they live in and gain practical skills in planting.
Get in touch at info@tewairoa.org.nz.
